Letter to Anne.

Dear Anne Frank,

I know about your life during the war, and that you've gone through a lot with the people in the Annexe. I also know that the Germans forbid the Jews from doing this and that, and I think it's really very sad and unreasonable. You all had to stay alert at all times and hide from the Germans once you see them. Don't you find it tiring?

I felt that everyone living in the Annexe are very brave. They don't tend to complain once they met with problems, but to solve them together. Just like Peter helping everyone make a cushion because everyone had been bumping their head against the low doorway.
I also think it's a very tiring task to stay alert at all times to prevent being caught by the evil German soldiers. You won't be able to sleep in peace and kept wondering what would happen next.

I think the Van Daan family is quite arrogant and likes to stir up troubles except Peter who was always quiet.
The Frank family is very forgiving and ignored those criticism made by Mrs Van Daan. They are more like the peacemakers in the Annexe.
And the other people living in the Annexe likes to make jokes to calm each other down when they are panicking.

And you, Anne. I think you're very brave to be able to conquer those fears during the war. But you're also quite a straightforward person. You cannot take comments, and you just shout back as you want. You hate being treated like a baby.

You have to stay strong, and you won't die.
Don't be disheartened easily because this is not the Anne Frank that I know.
From what I know, Anne Frank is a very strong and brave person.
You have to cherish every moment you have with your loved ones and you'll feel that there's a reason to carry on living no matter how much time you have to stay alive.
All the best for your future endeavours.

With regards,
Mei Yi
