I'm guessing many of you don't keep pen and paper diaries anymore, but you BLOG instead!

For our first activity, click on COMMENTS and write your response to either Option A or B below:

Option A - for people who keep diaries or blogs:
Do you prefer writing in a pen-and-paper diary, or do you prefer to blog? Why? What are some of the differences between diaries and blogs?

Option B - for people who do not keep diaries or blogs:
If you don't like both diaries or blogs, why is that so?
Why do you think people write diaries and blogs in the first place?

Please include your REAL NAME at the end of the comment, so we know who is commenting! Feel free to respond to your friends' comments POLITELY, and do write in clear and proper English!

Have fun!

I prefer blogs because we are now high tech and we are use in typing. Furthermore, it alows other to read as well as to share our thoughts and fellings. I don't like writing even though I have a dairy.

  3. Option A ;
I think I prefer to blog instead of writing . Basically it's because of lazyness in writing . I think writing in diaries just hurts my hand sometimes . If we blog , we can easily type all we want without hurting our hand . Furthermore , we're living in a high-tech country .

  4. I prefer to keep a diary. Cause that is the time when you are able to express your feelings solely. And people are unable to read the anger that you have expressed. Though no one you can confide into, but i find that the best way of getting rid of anger or hatred is to vent to out.

  5. Option B:I dont like to write diaries and blogs is because it is very troublesome.
But for other people, they may write diaries and blogs as they want to keep record on what they do and to express their feeling.

  19. Lots of good points made everyone! :) I agree with Sabrina that writing a diary is a great way to vent our anger. What about venting our anger online, though? Is that always a good idea?

  21. Blogs are like open to people to see and read , but then diaries are like for personal stuffs , so that we can write out what we think in the book . And that no one would know , whereas if you post it on a blog , people would be able to read it and understand how you actually feel and relate to it .

I'll prefer to write in a blog because it's easier to type than write. I don't think most singaporeans would keep a diary now because singapore is so advanced and there's something called blog. Even the laziest person won't keep a diary i think. -.-

I prefer typing than writing as i have enough writing during the schools days. The difference is that in diaries , nobody can see your secret as they do not know where you keep it , but if blog people can see what you types as it is free for the whole world.

  29. I would chose option A. I prefer keeping a diary as people can't know what you are thinking or writing when you are writing in a diary. But people would be able to read what you post on the blog and that won't give any privacy.

  30. I prefer writing in a diary , as I am able to express myself freely . Although it may be troublesome , there is privacy in it .
Blogs are open to public and what we say might offend them in some way .

  31. Option B.
I rather go out than to do blogging . it's just a waste of time and energy (:

  32. i prefer option A because if we don dare to tell people something we can call the people to read and he or she will know without face to face telling to him or her...

  33. Option A.
I think blogging is for expressing your feelings to the public. While a diary is for you to express what you want to say but in private.
    I prefer blogging :D

Ive no idea of what to
    write when blogging.
    Diaries will have more
    privacy. And we might affect
    others on what we blog.
    So i prefer diaries.

  37. Option B - I dont have a blog or a diary. I dont write a diary cause I prefer to keep my comments of the day to myself. I dont blog because i dont see a need to blog.

  38. Infact this is a big question right now in my mind.....blogs or writing?hmm....if we were to compare past and present, blogs are infact much more better as it is all because of technology
n even easier to type.by using blogs too,we can express our feelings to others whereras diaries could not express,so hence blogs are better.

  44. Both blogging and writing is cool!
But to me, I would rather prefer to blog than write, as blogging could give me an excuse of needing to on my laptop. Well, what I mean is, I might as well use the lappie after I'm done blogging, rather than just shutting it down. Blogging allows me to express my feelings deeper, and I feel that posting it in a website makes it fun as people passing by might want to drop by and read about out daily life and stuffs like that. But what I hate about blogging is, I can't really share my secrets that I own, for sme people are just being too KPOs.
But still, I say that blogging is sooooo much the better as writing needs more energy than typing, and for that, I hate sharing my energy. I might keep it to myself and save 'em for other avtivities. Yay ! (:
