Letter to Anne Frank.

Dear Anne Frank,
I read your diary, and I find you life in the Secret Annexe very interesting.
I’m sure you went through a hard time during the war, with lots of things to worry about when you are not sure what is happening outside the Secret Annexe. It must be difficult for you and your family to adapt with another family which you all do not know. Those people who tried means to help you and give you food and help you find means of survival. I’m sure this war is a tiring and enduring one.

From what you said about the Van Daans, I find that they are very selfish during dinner, always taking big portions of food. Mrs Van Daan always picks onto you and your mother. It must be really difficult for you to endure all of this, as you won’t say it out and but would write in your diary telling us how much about what you and your mother had gone through.

Sometimes, I find that you are scared of what is happening during war. I’m sure you are very bored in the Secret Annexe and hoping that you will be able to take a bit of fresh air once in a while. I remembered in one of your entry and that you said that you didn’t care whether you lived or died. Well, don’t be discouraged. I’m sure there will be hope as long you don’t get caught and persevere on no matter what. It must be hard for you, as a young girl.

Persevere on. I’ll always support you.

Yours sincerely,
Sabrina

  1. I like your words of encouragement to Anne. It definitely gets difficult to live indoors without any space to breathe! - Miss Ruby
